The Pedestrian and Traffic Improvements project between Montgomery Cross Road and Ferguson Avenue is part of SPLOST IV and was divided into two projects: Skidaway Road at Ferguson Avenue and Skidaway Road at Montgomery Cross Road.
Phase 1 consists of the Skidaway Road at Ferguson Avenue project including improvements to the intersection of Skidaway Road, Norwood Avenue, and Ferguson Avenue. The improvements include traffic signal upgrades to provide needed turn lanes and signal phases, improved drainage, and sidewalks on both sides of Skidaway Road.
Right of way acquisition began in Fall 2023, and final engineering design was completed in 2026.
