Chatham County hired a contractor to replace the existing, deteriorated box culvert on Penn Waller Road at Betz Creek. The project will replace the existing box culvert and construct a new sidewalk to provide connectivity to the existing sidewalks on Penn Waller Road. The replacement requires that Penn Waller Road be closed to traffic between Port Royal Drive and North Sheftall Circle for the duration of the project. The contractor plans to close Penn Waller Road to traffic on May 12, 2025 and re-open the road August 1, 2024.  Detour signs will be placed to divert traffic around the closure.
